Our Space
Welcome to Route 9, where passion and craftsmanship intersect to create an exceptional atmosphere. Nestled in the heart of Balhannah, our distillery is a hidden gem that embodies the essence of our unique spirits.
Our small-batch gins are made right here at Route 9 using only the purest botanicals to release savoury, floral, fruity and herbal notes that sing for themselves. Our whisky branded as the Adelaide Hills Whisky Co is crafted from ingredients of barley, yeast, and water – whisky’s trinity of the highest order – are maturing in barrels ahead of their planned debut in late 2023. Our rum project which is yet to be branded is dark and delicious and made from the finest molasses. If Bourbon, Port, Sherry and Cognac are speaking your language then there will be a barrel release just for you.

Contract Distilling
Route 9 can also be contracted as your very own boutique distillery where you can create a small batch spirit, an event with friends, or gifts to commemorate something special. The Route 9 team can guide you on all aspects of distilling, from concept to production and distribution, and all the testing, tasting, and bottling in between. Come and have a spirited yarn with us and let’s see what new ideas we can create together.
